Bamboo Pink Review – Scam Or Legitimate MLM Jewelry Business?
Welcome to my Bamboo Pink Review!
Bamboo Pink is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Company on a mission to empower women to fashion their own paths to success!
In this Bamboo Pink Review, I will be examining this company, and the jewelry collections and items that they offer. However, my focus in this Bamboo Pink Review will be on the MLM Business opportunity that they offer as a Bamboo Pink Consultant.
Is Bamboo Pink a scam, pyramid scheme, or legitimate MLM Business? This is my unbiased Bamboo Pink Review!
Company Details & History
Bamboo Pink was very recently launched in March of 2011, and was founded by three busy moms by the names of Frances Gadbois, Debbie Millar, and Jude Steele.
As a direct sales jewelry company, Bamboo Pink offers very affordable jewelry collections and individual pieces that range in price from about $19, on up to nearly $100.
Their Jewelry Products
Every jewelry item is designed by co-founder Frances Gadbois, and features only the finest crystals, as well as seasonal colored stones. Many of the jewelry items that you will come to expect from Bamboo Pink include:
- Earrings – including Hoops, Studs, Chandelier Earrings
- Bangles
- Bracelets
- Stackable Rings
- Cocktail Rings
- Pendants
- Chain Necklaces
Bamboo Pink Jewelry is distributed exclusively through their growing network of Consultants, and for the time being, only appears to be offered in the United States.
MLM Business – How it all works…
The cost to begin your Bamboo Pink business as a new Consultant is the price of their starter kits. There are three to choose from, depending on the amount of products that you wish to have on hand to begin sharing with others. Your options are:
- First Time Out for $199:
This will include 10 pieces with an advertised retail value of $560.
- Sweet Spot for $495:
This will include 28 pieces with an advertised retail value of $1,285.
- Just Go For It for $995:
This will include 50 pieces with an advertised retail value of $2,505.
With all three kits, you will have the option to place one sample order within your first 7 days to receive a 60% discount. If you wait until days 8-21, your discount will be 50%
Questions that you must ask!
Now, before you immediately opt for the lowest priced option, there are some questions that you will need to ask before joining.
Typically when a MLM Company like Bamboo Pink offers more than one starter kit option, the higher priced options are required in order to qualify for the maximum commissions or bonus opportunities within that company’s compensation plan.
Since Bamboo Pink does not provide any details regarding their compensation plan or requirements for earnings, I was unable to determine if any one of these starter kit options will affect your earning potential.
Also, you will want to ask about any sort of monthly Autoship programs or Automatic purchase requirements that must be met every month. This is another requirement that is common among MLM companies.
Consultant Training & Support
The majority of company sales are achieved through a home party setting, referred to as Trunk Shows.
While new Consultants will have the freedom to build their business any way that they see fit, you will be trained and encouraged to schedule Trunk Shows in the homes of your friends and family members.
At these Trunk Shows, you will showcase many of the jewelry items that you have received in your starter kit. You will accept orders as your loved ones try on jewelry and shop for ideas.
You will then recruit anyone who expresses an interest in becoming a Consultant in your organization!
Host Rewards Program
Bamboo Pink offers a Host Rewards program that is designed to reward your hosts for opening their homes for a Trunk Party. Through this program, your hostess will receive free jewelry and substantial discounts based upon the sales that you achieve in their home.
You will offer this as an incentive as you are scheduling your Shows.
Additional Business Resources
In addition to in-person Trunk Shows, you’ll also have the capability to host a show online through their Virtual Trunk Shows. Through this avenue, you’ll have the ability to showcase products anytime and anywhere.
Consultants will also have access to apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Droid. Details regarding these apps and their capabilities are limited to this.
You’ll also be trained to utilize social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to attract a larger audience of potential customers and Consultants.
As you go along, you will have access to online training videos, support, and one-on-one training from your sponsor.
Bamboo Pink Review Conclusion
In my opinion, Bamboo Pink is a legitimate MLM business opportunity for those who are passionate about their jewelry collections and wish to share them with their friends and loved ones. This should not be confused as being a scam or pyramid scheme.
Bamboo Pink advertises that they are offering a ground-floor opportunity. This is indeed the case, and Consultants who join in the early stages of a start-up company can benefit greatly from the interest, excitement, and buzz that circulates a new company.
Food for thought…
With ground-floor, pre-launch opportunities come the risk of that business not surviving the first two years of its existence. In fact, here are a couple of statistical figures to consider:
1. Nearly 51,000 MLM or Network Marketing companies have been launched since 1950. Only 63 of those have reached $100 Million in sales or more.
2. According to Direct Sales Market data, most MLM companies do not survive the first two years that they are in business. Some companies will peak quickly, but then die because of structural and fundamental problems. These problems usually reside in the management team!
Now, these facts are not intended to scare you away from Bamboo Pink, but to provide you with some historical information to think about in considering Bamboo Pink as a business opportunity.
Ground-floor opportunities offer great potential for those who get in early, but you cannot have great rewards without substantial risk. Especially in this industry!
With that being said, I believe that Bamboo Pink offers a solid opportunity, but it will be up to you to weigh the risk versus potential rewards.
